Mr. Durbin is an experienced and dynamic presenter/instructor of retirement seminars for Federal employees and specializes in the Federal employee retirement and benefits programs. With over 31 years of experience in the financial and insurance industry, Joe has served multiple roles during the span of his career ranging from Account Executive and Regional Sales Manager of large national firms to President and Owner of a local company where he has grown a large and diverse clientele.

Joe has been one of the key representatives for Voluntary Employee Benefit Systems, (VEBS), a national provider of retirement training resources for federal employees. In the course of his work, Joe has trained thousands of federal employees to maximize and better understand their federal benefits ranging from seminar presentations to private, individual consultations helping employees with their specific situations. He has worked with many agencies including but not limited to: BLM, CBP, USFS, USFWS, HSI, ICE, ERO, FBI, USSS, USMS, IRS, DOD, Army CID and multiple OIG offices. In addition to being a FLEOA member, he enjoys training the federal law enforcement community and other special category employees.

VEBS support services include:
•Ongoing support to employees and retirees before and after classes.
•Assistance in completing retirement paperwork.
•VEBS has developed its own software to run custom reports for each employee’s scenario to help in planning, guidance, and decision making.
•Personalized coaching based on individual situations, goals, and objectives.

Joe grew up in the Pacific Northwest and currently resides in Peoria, Arizona.
